Wendy Kernan is from Mt. Zion, Illinois. She attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. After completing a few internships, Wendy discovered her passion for people and changed her focus to an area where she could positively impact those around her.
Wendy began her banking career as a Banker with Regions Bank in Carbondale, Illinois. Her passion for customer service and outgoing personality eventually led her to become an Assistant Manager, then Branch Manager, and finally the Vice President and Consumer Sales Manager. As the Consumer Sales Manager, Wendy led a team of thirteen branch managers and oversaw fifteen full-branch facilities throughout Central Illinois.
Wendy joined Town and Country Bank in 2014 as the Branch Director and Growth Manager. She was directly responsible for the Mt. Zion and Decatur branches and oversaw sales productions for Town and Country Bank's eastern region branches. Her dedication to the company's success led her to become the Director of Branch Services, where she oversaw all branches throughout central Illinois and managed a team of hard-working branch managers. As Town and Country continued to grow, so did Wendy's dedication and innovation, and she was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Technology and Operations Officer. She manages the Director of Branch Services, the bank's IT and business systems, the BSA team, and deposit services in her current role.
When Wendy isn't at Town and Country Bank, you'll find her teaching fitness classes and spending time with her family.
