Grant Franklin is from Springfield, Illinois. He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance, and eventually, a master’s degree in business administration. Grant has a long career in banking, beginning at Town and Country Bank in 1981.
Grant began as a bank teller at a branch in Springfield. He rose through the ranks and eventually left the company as a Branch manager in 1988. From there, he took a position at Regions Bank in Centralia, Illinois, where he held a number of roles, including Assistant Operations Officer, Consumer Lender, Mortgage Lender, and Commercial Lender. He transferred to Regions Bank in Carbondale, Illinois, and worked as a Commercial Lender and Credit Officer while he completed his education, before transferring back to Springfield.
In 2008, Grant returned to Town and Country Bank as a Commercial Lender. His dedicated work ethic and financial expertise led him to quickly rise through the ranks, eventually becoming Executive Vice President and Chief of Sales for Town and Country Bank Financial Corporation.
In his current position, Grant is accountable for revenue generation and is primarily involved with commercial banking and treasury management. He oversees a competent group of lenders throughout our twelve markets in Central Illinois. He is particularly passionate about affordable housing and is proud of the steps his team has taken to support the families in our communities. His dedication to affordable housing landed him the role of CRA Officer, where he’s currently strategizing ways to enhance our CRA processes.
When Grant isn’t crunching numbers, you’ll find him spending quality time with his family, reading a good book, or going for a run.
