ID Scan Announcement and FAQs

Your Security is Important to Us

To protect your account from unauthorized use, our bankers in our lobbies and drive-thrus will ask to scan your ID as an enhanced security measure starting Monday, April 19th. We will scan your ID only once so your identity is known for future transactions.

Acceptable forms of identification include one of the following:

  • Driver's License
  • State-Issued ID
  • FOID Card
  • Green Card

FAQs

If there are two names on one account, will bankers scan both IDs?

Yes. Multiple IDs can be retained for one, individual account. We will encourage customers to provide us with both IDs to ensure there are not any gaps within our systems and the data we have available.

Can customers proactively provide us with their IDs for scanning?

Absolutely. Customers can ask that their IDs be scanned when they enter one of our locations. However, we cannot retain IDs that we receive through Online Account Opening or through Electronic Delivery.

Do customers need to provide us with their ID annual to ensure our records are up-to-date?

Our ID Scan Software is configured to automatically notify us when a customer's ID has expired or when the information on the scanned ID no longer matches the customer's information we have in our system, such as a name or address change.

Will transactions now take longer for bankers to scan IDs?

Customer IDs can be scanned in as little as 15 seconds. To allow our bankers more time with becoming accustomed to our ID Scan Software, scanning IDs could result in slightly longer transactions.

How is the collected information from customers' ID stored and will it be safely secured?

After an ID has been scanned, the information is stored by us in the same manner that other customers' information or documentation is stored. Collected information is encrypted and safely secured.
