Harold Henry is Inducted in the Illinois Bankers Association’s 50 Year Club

Harold Henry, Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer, was inducted into the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA)’s 50 Year Club on Wednesday, May 8.

The IBA 50 Year Club is exclusively for those who have worked in the banking industry for 50 years. The Club is comprised of individuals who have seen the banking industry change dramatically over their career. A capstone event to rewarding experiences and achievements, recipients must be nominated to be part of the Club.

Beginning his career as a Messenger at Bank One, formerly Marine Bank of Springfield, Henry served many roles during his 30-year tenure there, including managing over 900 ATMs in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Henry started at Town and Country Bank in January 2005 as Commercial Banking Officer and has been a key component to the company’s significant growth as he led the market with the use of the first remote teller technology. Henry specializes in treasury management products and works with business customers of the bank.

Linda Koch, President and CEO of the Illinois Bankers Association, was on hand during a recent celebration to present Henry with a certificate and pin. “On behalf of the IBA, I want to congratulate you on this milestone and welcome you to the 50 Year Club where you’ll join an elite and prestigious group of bankers,” said Koch.

“We appreciate everything Harold has done for our customers and us, how he’s represented us over the years and his contribution to the industry,” said Micah Bartlett, President and CEO of Town and Country Financial Corporation. “It’s easy to see why our customers say they can’t live without him and why we appreciate having him part of our banking family.”

In 2018 Henry participated in the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight to honor his service in the Vietnam War. Henry studied at Illinois State University, Lincoln Land Community College and the University of Illinois-Springfield. Henry along with his wife, Jane, live in Springfield.
