Grant Franklin of Town and Country Bank has earned the designation of Housing Credit Certified Professional™ (HCCP) from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and NAHB Multifamily. Franklin is one of a select group of industry professionals nationwide who have attained the HCCP certification.

The HCCP is a professional certification program that sets competency standards for housing credit professionals involved in developing, investing in, allocating and managing housing credit properties. The designation provides a benchmark for industry professionalism, experience and a commitment to quality.

HCCPs must have at least two years’ experience in the low-income housing tax credit industry, successfully complete 10 hours of low-income housing tax credit training, pass an examination and adhere to the HCCP’s code of ethics to qualify for certification.

Franklin has nearly forty years of experience in the banking industry and currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Director of Sales and Commercial Banking for Town and Country Bank. Town and Country Bank is a progressive, locally-owned, community bank headquartered in Springfield, Illinois, has assets of over $800 Million with locations in 10 communities, and serves 36 counties.

Throughout Franklin’s career, he’s developed a passion for working to create financial solutions for safe and affordable housing in down-state Illinois. Upon joining Town and Country Bank over twelve years ago, Franklin had the vision to differentiate the Bank as the leading provider of financial services for developers and other stakeholders committed to the creation of safe and affordable housing for low-and moderate-income individuals and families.

Franklin and Town and Country Bank are members or active participants in the Illinois Housing Council, Illinois Association of Housing Authorities, Illinois Community Action Development Corporation, Mid-Central Illinois Community Action, Illinois/Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.

Franklin has been and continues to be devoted to creating affordable housing solutions. This HCCP designation will not only benefit Franklin in the fulfillment of Town and Country Bank’s mission of advancing affordable housing and community development in downstate Illinois but will ultimately help the residents who need innovative financial programs the most.
